Baby Butler, Inc. was founded by Jeff Archambault who worked nights managing his family's Fort Myers, Florida restaurant. Jeff's wife worked days in the medical field and he took care of their daughters, 3-year old Emma and newborn sister Ryan, managing the restaurant's daily operations from home as well.

While caring for his children, Jeff quickly learned what a challenge it was. As he gained a whole new respect for what moms do every day in raising their kids, he realized how valuable a helping hand would be. Feeding his newborn was his first job. But Jeff sometimes wanted to be able to read to his 3 year old, or answer the phone, or even feed himself. That’s when the idea for a Hands Free Bottle Holder came to him.

Jeff sketched an initial design of a hands free, weighted pad with a small strap to hold the bottle in place. He brought it to Emma's "Mommy and Me" class, where he'd become friends with the other moms. A few of them liked to sew and gave Jeff ideas for his idea of a combination hands free bottle holder, burp cloth that stayed in place, and a changing pad with a pillow for baby’s head... all in one.

The bottle holder made it so much easier for Jeff to accomplish tasks related to his restaurant work. At the same time, it offered him the ability to also do other simple tasks that needed to be done. Jeff soon realized he had the beginnings of a great product and came up with a name: "The Baby Butler Hands Free Bottle Holder." He started to test it at his restaurant and the reaction of parents was immediate.

Jeff had 10 prototypes made, testing them over and over at the restaurant. When customers began to regularly ask where they could buy one, it was no longer "the makings of a great product" for Jeff: he knew he had something. With the eager cooperation of "other mothers", Jeff formed focus groups to identify and brainstorm ideas, and to get feedback.

Focus group talk ranged from horror stories about what products had been tried to what it was that made them happy, satisfied and loving mothers. The focus groups also included more informal sessions at hair salons, grocery stores and doctor's office waiting rooms.

For Jeff, these groups were key in understanding his market base and in learning what mothers and other caregivers (grandmothers, grandfathers, big sisters, etc.) wanted in baby products.

Now in his second year of product research and development, Jeff and the experienced and accomplished team he's assembled are ready to launch "The Baby Butler Hands Free Bottle Holder". An idea that started out as a simple tool to help Jeff in his busy life has become his full time career, along with his most important job: being a dad!
